ORF-Enterprise with roaring success at MIPCOM 2014

ORF-Enterprise continues its track record with further deals of ORF UNIVERSUM’s multi-awarded wildlife, nature and history documentaries at MIPCOM 2014:

With “Lionsrock”, ORF-Enterprise presented one of this season’s highlights at the TV-market in Cannes, which convinced ARTE (France) to participate in a prebuy.

Télé-Québec (Canada) and SRC (Canada) picked the award-winning animal-portrait Planet Sparrow (Golden Dolphin, Cannes Corporate TV and Media Awards 2014) and Triumph of the Tomato (Silver Dolphin, Cannes Corporate TV and Media Awards 2014), lining out the cultural history of this delicious fruit.

Africa’s Wild West – The Horses of the Namib Desert” has been picked by National Geographic Channels International, whereas National Geographic US selected the fascinating and award-winning macro-photographic ”Secrets of Bumblebees, which will also be aired by ARTE (France), Ushuaia TV (France) and Télé-Québec (Canada). .

ORF Universum’s first 4K-production “Wild Venice” has been considered by National Geographic Channels International, Globosat (Brazil), IRIB (Iran) and First HDTV (Russia) among many others.

125 hours amongst lions, cheetahs and baboons

MTG/ Viasat and Q2/ QTV (Qatar) have committed to the recently produced season of “The Wildlife Orphanage”. This series will soon enchant their audiences with a touching look behind the curtains of the daily life of the volunteers at Namibia’s Harnas Sanctuary.

ORF formats take a high flying turn

Intrigue (USA) picked the scripted format based on the Austrian series “Braunschlag” – the original ready-mades will go to RTL Crime (Germany).

“Cracking the Jackpot”, another scripted comedy format, which is already in the 3rd season on Germany’s WDR, will also soon go on air on Belgium’s VTM.

Broadcaster SRF (Switzerland) will soon produce a pilot based on ORF’s successful political format “Where to, Mr. President?” in the forefront of the 2015’s elections. Swiss children will soon hop on the “Explorer Express” again, ORF’s long running edutainment series. RSI (Switzerland) continues their broadcast with 14 further episodes.

Teleclub (Switzerland) acquired 150 hours of Austrian content for their VoD-service.
