Successful MIPTV-sales to ORF’s complete satisfaction -
ORF-Enterprise, ORF’s distribution arm, keeps standards up with sales of amazing documentaries and appealing fictional programs.
The long-running criminal series TATORT surprises with its new Austrian investigating team - together with a tense, thrilling storyline the new episodes boost sales in over 20 European countries: Sony Pictures International (SPI) shows them across its Eastern European territories as well as RTV in Slovenia; Italy will follow.
Used to big success on the market, “Fast Forward”, ORF’s premium crime-series, again achieves sales to Fox Crime Italy and Fox Bulgaria – DR Denmark has just picked up season four.
The humorous criminal series “Four Women and a Funeral” soon will air on RTL Digital, Fox Crime Italy and MTV Hungary.
Universum, ORF’s premium brand of natural history documentaries, as always sells successfully:
All new titles from ORF-Enterprise’s MIPTV-catalog have been sold out to China, Korea and Thailand.
NHK picks up three of the latest Universum-documentaries, amongst them the "Mystery of the Fairy Circles" which has been produced by ORF’s young Natural History Unit, headed by chief editor Andrew Solomon.
Italy, Canada, Russia, Poland, Turkey and Iran acquire numerous wildlife and nature documentaries, including “Limits of Light”, “Termites – The Inner Sanctum” and “Mystery of the Fairy Circles”.
Brazil's Globosat buys “Termites – The Inner Sanctum” – other Universum-packages have been sold to Mexico and Argentina.
Classical music from Austria attracts as always: Switzerland and Iceland 2012 again will broadcast “Christmas in Vienna”. “Summer Gala Concert Grafenegg” goes to Russia and will be aired in Sweden for the first time.
ORF's Children’s Programs "Explorer Express" and "Seven Wonders" have been sold to ARTE among a package of documentaries.
