Fair Trade Fashion

Faire Mode

Every European buys an average of 15 kg of textiles per year. Only 1 % of the turnover comes from fairly produced fashion items. Pictures of collapsed clothing factories shock consumers but they are quickly forgotten during the next shopping spree. More and more companies are committed to «organic sourcing» and «fairness» but not every certificate lives up to its promise. People wanting to consume in a sustainable fashion, so to speak, often have to do extensive research. In addition to fair working conditions, it is becoming increasingly important to operate in a way that conserves resources. More and more companies are moving their factories back to Europe, producing and processing fabrics locally.
