Wishing for a Baby
When an investigative journalist is murdered, the Interior Ministry's Special Investigator Moritz Eisner is called in. He is quickly convinced that the murder is part of something larger.
Eisner's local colleagues are initially sceptical but quickly change their mind after a genetic engineer and DNA specialist is shot. A number of connections between the two murders begin to appear and the clues lead to a renowned fertility clinic. The investigators' enquiries uncover a quagmire of corrupt business deals involving couples who desperately want to have children. But what role does the owner of a fitness club, where patients from the clinic are sent, play in the whole business? When his 8 year old son is kidnapped and the parents are blackmailed, it quickly becomes clear to Eisner and his colleagues that a massive scandal is being covered up by every means possible. And when a team of Eastern European contract killers begins to close in on the investigators, a deadly manhunt begins...
