The Line - Crossing Your Country as the Crow Flies

The Line - Entlang der Luftlinie durch dein Land / Expedition Österreich

The participants of "The Line" are sent on the road through impassable terrain, crossing rivers and lakes, surmounting hills and mountain passes. Eleven candidates are faced with what is likely to be the biggest challenge of their lives: Crossing their home country as the crow flies, with a maximum deviance of 200 m permitted. In plain language, rather than bypassing round obstacles barring the way like mountains, lakes, rivers and buildings, this means surmounting them. The expedition teams, consisting of eleven members each at the outset, are accompanied by cameras throughout their tour across these countries. In a live television vote, the audience chooses a winner each week, while one team member gets eliminated. The final winner of the expedition receives considerable prize money.

Dailies approximately 25 min., weeklies approximately 100 min.
