Franz Fuchs - The Mail-Bomber

Franz Fuchs - Ein Patriot

From 1993 to 1997, Franz Fuchs, who described himself as an «Austrian terrorist», rocked Austria by committing a series of letter bomb attacks which killed four people and left 15 seriously injured. Ten years after his arrest on October 1st, 1997, the film looks back on the affair, raising questions which no one wanted to answer after Fuchs's suicide in prison in 2000. Divided into three parts and interweaving fictional reconstitutions and documentary techniques, the film begins with Fuch's preventive detention and the preparations for the trial, then moves on to the trial itself, before examining the consequences of the affair.
